G'day and Aloha...
...to the new website. Produced by local North Narrabeen surfer Scott Nagle from Sunlinemedia we've gone thru my still photo library to feature a few of my favorite shots on all the pages. Many thanks to Scott for a great job!
So what's new? Well instead of making a new film this year, I've been working with the lads at Billabong to produce the new DVD's below. Obviously after touring Free As A Dog around the world it was great to get it out on DVD. The big news however is that OCCY; The Occumentary is FINALLY out on DVD. You can finally throw out that old VHS copy that's full of dropouts any way. We've also released a special Box Collection of the first four films I made for Billabong. This is a great relief to finally get these films on Digital technology and all in one Box.... yeehaa!
And last but not least is STORM RIDERS, Dick Hoole and I went back to the original negative to put our 1982 film on DVD with the bonus film KONGS ISLAND on it to boot.
You can pick up one or more of the titles below at all good surf shops where Billabong is sold or you can order thru our store.
For the future, I'm going to spend some more time with my family, start looking at all of the footage from the 6 challenge shows with the intent to get them out on DVD next year, and then start getting the creative juices flowing again and hopefully start a new film in 2007. In 1980, Dick Hoole and Jack McCoy set out to make their second feature film together. They traveled to South Africa, Bali, Sumatra, Java, Hawaii and Australia with some of the best surfers of the day.... Mark Richard's, Gerry Lopez, Rabbit Bartholomew, Peter McCabe, and a couple of grommets, Thornton Fallander and Joe Engle among others. Now fully digitally re-mastered into 16.9, Storm Riders is available on DVD. Check out your local surf shop or get it online here at the STORE. |
