STOCK FOOTAGE

Over his 50 year career, Jack created one of the largest and most valuable libraries of footage in the history of surfing and water sports. He captured footage from the most exotic locations around the world, with a large amount of footage featuring some of the first ever vision captured at locations such as Hawaii, Tahiti, Indonesia, Maldives, Mentawais, South America and Australia.

Jack was lucky to work with some of the biggest legends of the surfing world and have managed to capture some of the most important and key moments in the history of the sport. The archive features the who’s who of surfing including the likes of Lopez, Kelly, Andy, Occy, Curren, MR, Rabbit, Parko, Kong, Lynch, Rasta, Sunny, Machado, Laird… The list could roll on forever. If you’re looking for footage of one of the world’s best surfers between 1970 - 2010, please reach out as we’ve more than likely got you covered!

Throughout his travels, the cultures, landscapes, wildlife and locals captivated Jack just as much as the action in the water. The archive is not only pivotal from a surf historical perspective, but perhaps even more so from an environmental and cultural perspective as he was one of the first cinematographers to document locations such as Indonesia, Pacific Islands, Maldives, Mentawai Islands, USA, Hawaii, and the Australian coastline.

Along with his own personal library, I have acquired the complete library of Val Valentine - one of the pioneers of Hawaiian surf film making.

There’s no other film maker in the history of surf who comes close to the longevity and ability to capture such breathtaking cinematography.

STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY

A lot of people are unaware that I began my career as a still photographer which was one of the driving forces in leading me to becoming a cinematographer. I have thousands of still photographs which I’ve archived from throughout my career.

As with my film archive, I have a range of surf, landscapes, culture and wildlife - this library is predominantly from the 1970’s and 80’s - featuring some of the worlds best surfers and locations which have since changed drastically. If you’re looking for something specific from this time then there is a great chance that I have the shot you’re after!
